Handbrake Car Not Working: A Frustrating Experience with a Local Mechanic

As a car owner, there's nothing more infuriating than dealing with a mechanic who can't seem to fix your problems. I'm at my wit's end after spending nearly $500 and countless hours trying to get my handbrake to work properly. The latest update to Handbrake has only made things worse, leaving me wondering if there's any hydraulic aspect to this parking brake system that could be causing the issue.

In an effort to troubleshoot the problem, I've been doing some research on my own and have discovered a few things that might be contributing to the issue. For starters, it appears that the ebrake in my car is designed with a hydraulic system that relies on air pressure to function properly. This means that any air that's entered the brake lines could potentially cause the handbrake to malfunction.

Another possible culprit could be the cables used in the system. I've noticed that the mechanic has replaced the cables on both sides of the car, but I'm not convinced that he used the correct part numbers for each side. This could be causing the handbrake to fail to apply enough clamping force to the rotors, resulting in a lack of stopping power.
